Honor's 50th Anniversary in 2010

WSU Honors College Celebrates Golden Anniversary

In 2010, the Honors College at Washington State University will celebrate its 50th anniversary.  Opportunities will abound to focus on the academic and other accomplishments of current students and faculty, to engage with future students, and to reconnect with alumni and former Honors professors and staff members.

A special 50th anniversary celebration is planned for March 5 and 6 in Pullman.

Friday will include campus tours of some of WSU's newest facilities, the WSU Undergraduate Research Symposium (which always features many Honors students' work), and an Honors alumni reception in the renowned WSU Museum of Art in the heart of the WSU campus.

Saturday afternoon's special presentations by Honors students and esteemed faculty form a fitting prelude to the presentation of the 2010 V.N. Bhatia Lecture, featuring Honors alumna Leslie V. Rowe, the soon-to-be appointed U.S. Ambassador to Mozambique.
