Whether WSU Honors College students are studying overseas, displaying their research and creativity at a poster event, or performing community service, the accomplishments are of an endless and impressive variety.
Several Honors College students participated in summer 2009 on-campus mentored research programs, and presented their work at a July poster session.
Honors College senior and political science major Tom Westphal received the top cadet award in the senior class of the 2008-9 WSU ROTC program. He is traveling to Lexington, Virginia, to represent WSU at the George C. Marshall ROTC Seminar. There he will have the opportunity to interact with key leaders at discuss issues related to national security.
Honors student and senior human development major Cheri Boyer presented her research at the National Council on Family Relations Conference in 2009. The topic was on adolescent sexuality, and is tied to her thesis project with faculty mentor Jenifer McGuire
Honors students presented their research at the Western Regional Honors Council's spring 2008 meeting in Arizona, and took a side trip to explore the Grand Canyon.
Three Honors women are realizing their dreams of becoming veterinarians--and completing their undergraduate program while they begin graduate school.
