Honors College Endowed Fund

An endowment is a permanent investment in the college, our students, and our faculty. The income from an endowment provides an ongoing source of funding that grows over time. As the principal increases, so does the annual payout . An endowed fund (e.g. for a scholarship fund or a professorship) can recognize the donor or someone the donor wishes to honor in perpetuity.

Honors College Development Fund

Gifts to these expendable funds are spent as they come in and may be made to support a specific program, research, or people, as the donor directs. These are discretionary gifts.

Gift Planning and Estate Gifts

Donors may make larger gifts (typically $25,000 and above) through a variety of carefully planned vehicles, such as bequests and living trusts, insurance policies, IRAs and other retirement plans, and life income gifts which provide donors with considerable tax savings currently as well as an income for life.
