As the senior justice writer for the New York Daily News and a regular political commentator\, King covers the Black Lives Matter movement\, police brutality\, discrimination and social justice issues across the nation. Last year\, we had over 200 students attend and many indicated the fair helped them choose a major\, additional major\, or minor. \nThis year\, we will also have Global Learning\, Student Involvement\, the ASCC\, and other campus partners in attendance to help demonstrate to students how the major exploration process includes activities outside of the classroom.

DESCRIPTION:Modern and Roman England\nLiverpool\, Chester\, Shrewsbury\, York\, Stonehenge\, London\nFaculty-led trip Summer 2018\nEarn 3 credits of Honors 380 or 370\nOPEN TO ALL WSU STUDENTS\n\nThe Roman Empire has been of essential importance to western civilization and not least to the development of England/Britain/the U.K. From the 1st century B.C. to the 5th century A.D. England was occupied by the Romans who transformed the land according to the principles and organization of their Roman culture. Why did they leave? The centuries following the departure of the Romans have been called ‘The Dark Ages.’ But were they really? Currently Europe is undergoing profound structural changes evident in the British decision to leave the European Union and in the migration of peoples. In this program we will investigate the British Roman past and its remnants in modern England. \nWe will spend a week at the University of Liverpool with lectures and excursions to Hadrian’s Wall and York among other places. We’ll spend two days in the ancient town of Shrewsbury and four days in London. Join us for this comprehensive experience of England with plenty of time to shop and explore on your own. Refreshments will be served. \nThe Harold Frank Engineering Entrepreneurship Institute gives students the opportunity to bring their entrepreneurial dreams to life and get a $2\,500 scholarship. The institute offers a unique opportunity to experience how innovation moves from idea to sustainable realization\, and gives students the tools to pursue their ideas. \nWorking in interdisciplinary teams\, Harold Frank students learn to manage uncertainty\, design\, perfect presentation skills\, work with real fiscal and technical constraints\, and develop technologies to solve problems.
