DESCRIPTION:4th Annual Mindfulness Symposium\nStaying Present in Challenging Times\nSaturday\, September 28\, 2019 10:00 a.m. – Noon Elmina White Honors Hall Lounge \nCost for the event is $5.00 per person. \nFeaturing:\n“Mindful Movement” with Qigong Teacher Liz Lee\, “Finding Meaning In Adversity” with Trymaine Gaither (Honors College) and “Everyday Self-compassion” with Jeremy Rutherford (Cougar Health Services). \nDuring our time together you will be introduced to practices including guided reflections\, meditation and qigong. \nOptional* Morning Yoga Session\n8:45 – 9:45 a.m.Elmina White Honors Hall \nYoga mats provided. Bring additional props as appropriate. \nOptional* Brown-bag Lunch and Silent Retreat\n12:15 – 3:30 p.m.\nElmina White Honors Hall \nBoth optional sessions have limited capacity. After registering for the Mindfulness Symposium\, you will have an option to register for one or both of the free optional events. \nClick here to register for this event\nPARKING & ACCOMMODATIONS: Guests who have a difficulty walking will find easier access if they enter Elmina White Honors Hall through the back entrance. Handicap parking is available in the back of the building and on Colorado Street. Many of the surface lots around campus will be open for anyone to park on the morning of the symposium although they may require a 10 minute walk. DESCRIPTION:The Honors College Welcomes Tony Rojas (’85)\nDirector and President\, Slalom\n  \nTony Rojas has served as President of Slalom since 2005 and was a strategic advisor for the company in 2004. His responsibilities range from Board management to oversight of various global teams\, programs\, and initiatives. Previously\, Rojas served as co-CEO of Corbis\, a digital media company owned by Bill Gates. Rojas started his career at Deloitte after receiving a B.A. in Business Administration from WSU.
