It is designed to bring together highly qualified individuals with diverse backgrounds and interests\, and develop them into effective leaders for the public\, private and nonprofit sectors. The Fellowship seeks to develop professional skills and educate Fellows in the role of philanthropy in the nonprofit sector\, while offering direct management experience.

SUMMARY:Student Networking Event and Industry Panel Discussion
DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, September 14\, the WSU Honors College will host its first annual Student Networking Event and Industry Panel Discussion beginning at 4:00 p.m. in Pullman. \nThe Student Networking Event is an opportunity for Honors College students to enhance their professional networking skills in various settings. Because this is a networking event\, students are advised not to bring their resumes; instead\, students will focus on how to confidently network with potential employers\, develop an elevator pitch\, and highlight accomplishments and goals. Students are encouraged to distribute their business cards at the event. \nFollowing the one-hour networking event\, a panel discussion will take place for students to hear firsthand from industry experts on best practices in today’s workplace and professional tips for hiring success! \nThis is an opportunity for students to meet with advisory board members of the Honors College who represent a broad range of industries including consulting\, technology\, law\, engineering\, education and health care. \nFood and beverage will be provided! Business dress is recommended. \nRegistered students must attend one 30-minute workshop session scheduled several days prior to event. The workshops will take place in Elmina White Honors Hall on Monday\, September 10 at 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday\, September 12 at 7:30 a.m. Again\, you only need to attend one of the above sessions. \nRegister for this event\n
