HABILE Certificate
The Honors and Business Innovation and Leadership Experience (HABILE) Certificate is open to Honors College students in all Carson College of Business majors.
It provides knowledge, skills, connections, and real-world exposure in preparation for outstanding careers in business-related fields. The certificate requires 15 credits consisting of four core courses plus approved electives, and special HABILE co-curricular activities associated with the Carson Career Amplifier Program.
REQUIREMENTS:
Complete at least 15 credits from the following:
- HONORS 198: Honors First Year Experience (HABILE section of this course) – 1 credit
- ACCTG 298: Introduction to Accounting and Managerial Accounting (replaces regular two-course accounting sequence) – 4 credits
- HONORS 450: Honors Thesis Research – 3 credits
- ENTRP 492 [CAPS]: Small Business Strategy & Planning – 3 credits
- Lower-division electives selected from the following – max. 2 credits
- HONORS 211: Introduction to Community Engagement – 1 credit
- HONORS 212: Active & Immersive Community Engagement – 1 credit
- HONORS 298: Approaches to Global Leadership – 2 credits
- One additional elective course approved by HABILE Director, such as a business-related Honors College course.
Plus complete these activities:
- Special HABILE co-curricular activities as part of the Carson Career Amplifier Program.
