Global Awareness

Options to pursue other studies, such as minors and certificates to supplement student degrees

  • Cross-over between requirements for business and for Honors College, which allows students to take advantage of certain courses that satisfy more than one requirement per course. This can decrease the number of courses required to complete major and Honors College requirements, and allow for other studies to be pursued without increasing time to graduation
  • Satisfy only three additional foreign language classes (9 credits) to earn a minor in a foreign language
  • Satisfy only five to six additional classes (15-18 credits) to double-major in two of the following: accounting, finance, marketing, management information systems, international business, management, and entrepreneurship
  • Students can pursue an optional Honors College Certificate of Global Competencies, with many components satisfied through the Carson College of Business International Experience Requirement

Advising and Mentorship

  • Dual-advising – students are advised through the Honors College and the Carson College of Business
  • Peer support through an upperclassman Honors Mentor
  • Priority registration through the Honors College
