The Honors College and Carson College of Business
The Honors and Business Innovation and Leadership Experience (HABILE) Program is a partnership between the Honors College and the Carson College of Business for incoming business majors in the Honors College. HABILE offers the knowledge, skills, connections, and real-world exposure you need to be ready for outstanding careers in business-related fields.

Exclusive Classes to Accelerate Your Progress
- Exclusive HABILE section of the Honors 198 “First-Year Experience” course led by Carson College of Business faculty, beginning the first week of fall semester
- Exclusive Honors sections of that replace multiple required classes, such as Accounting 298 (replaces ACCTG 230 and 231) and Economics 198 (replaces ECONS 101 and 102)
Programming to Enhance Your Experience
- Exclusive access to special activities such as meetings with leaders from the Carson College of Business and business research events.
Research Opportunities to Enrich Your Learning
- Research opportunities with faculty mentors, and support to pursue research opportunities
Global Awareness to Prepare You for Global Business
- Through honors courses and foreign language studies, students will develop an understanding of global perspectives to prepare them for careers in today’s global economy
- Students can pursue an optional Honors College Certificate of Global Competencies, with many components satisfied through the Carson College of Business International Experience Requirement
- Through optional faculty-led study abroad opportunities, students can learn about global businesses and receive WSU credit
Credentials to Document Your Progress
- HABILE students have the opportunity to earn a university HABILE certificate that will appear on their transcript
