Nursing Direct Admit Program

A unique partnership between the Honors College and the WSU College of Nursing, which offers an unparalleled academic experience. Combine the benefits of a WSU Honors College experience with an accelerated pathway to a prestigious and competitive degree.

Students may apply for early admission to WSU’s College of Nursing directly out of high school by applying to this program. Program includes two years of study in Pullman and two years in Spokane.

Top applicants are invited to the program throughout the admissions/application cycle.

Admitted Students

Complete Honors College requirements (minus thesis) and College of Nursing prerequisites in two years in Pullman (Example Plan)

Complete Honors Thesis while attending WSU College of Nursing BSN coursework in Spokane

Graduate from WSU Honors College and College of Nursing with BSN in four years

Sara Van NattaSara Van Natta

Sara Van Natta is in her fourth year at Washington State University, and will be graduating in May 2017 with her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing through the Honors College Nursing Direct Admit Program. Through this partnership with the College of Nursing, Sara had a clear pathway with early admission to nursing school and a simple outline of courses to take that satisfied nursing school prerequisites and the Honors College curriculum.
