WSU Honors Students Makeup Nearly Half of Undergraduate Presentations at University’s Academic Showcase

PULLMAN, Wash.—The Washington State University Honors College is poised to make a strong appearance at Friday’s university-wide Academic Showcase; 15 of the 33 undergraduate participants are Honors students.

The Academic Showcase poster event celebrates the achievements of individuals engaged in WSU’s central mission: the advancement of scholarship, research, and the arts.  Showcase highlights projects from faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students.  The event will be open from 9 a.m. to noon in Bohler Gymnasium.

Many of the Honors students will also make presentations the following Monday, March 29, at two undergraduate research events: the Undergraduate Research Symposium (oral presentations), and the Science and Engineering Poster Competition.  Honors seniors Julia Pasztor, an animal sciences major, and Gianne Souza, a microbiology major, will be the only researchers participating in all three events.
