Three Honors Student-Athletes Are Selected for the All Pac-12 Academic Team

In spring 2012, Honors College students Brianne Gould, Erin Ranney, and Emily Farrar earned All Pac-12 Academic Team honors.

To be eligible for the All Pac-12 Academic Team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average (GPA), take part in at least 50 percent of competitions, be a starter or significant contributor, and be in his or her second academic year at the institution. There are three categories of the All Pac-12 Academic Team: first-team, second-team, and honorable mention. To be eligible for first-team academic recognition, a student must have a minimum 3.50 GPA.
Gould and Ranney earned first team academic recognition and are participants on the women’s rowing team. Gould, a junior general studies major, earned recognition with a 3.83 GPA. Ranney, a junior wildlife ecology major, has a 3.51 GPA. This is Ranney’s second Pac-12 team honor in a row.

Farrar, a senior business/management operations major, earned honorable mention for her academic standing and participation on the track & field team with a 3.45 GPA.

A total of 56 WSU athletes earned places on the All Pac-12 Academic Team for this period.
