Honors Alum and Pianist Eric McElroy Performs in Bryan Hall

WSU School of Music and Honors College alumnus Eric McElroy is currently a candidate for Birmingham Conservatoire’s Advanced Postgraduate Diploma. McElroy earned his Master’s degree at Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien with full honors.

On August 31 McElroy performed solo piano works by contemporary composers including his composition The Perilous Realm in Bryan Hall Theatre at the WSU Pullman campus, which won the prestigious MTNA National Young Artist Composition Competition. McElroy is winner of the Peter Donohoe Prize, the John Ireland Prize, and WSMTA Competitions in both piano and composition. The program also included works by Rzewski, Jacob TV, and Joubert.

McElroy will perform again on Thursday, September 7 at the Good Shepherd Center in Seattle, Wa at 8 p.m.
