Washington State football’s Hayden Schmidt and soccer’s Emma Dahline have been named the Academic Services Student-Athletes of the Month for September 2018.

A redshirt junior safety on the field, Schmidt (Mount Vernon, Wash.) is academically a senior majoring in mechanical engineering with a minor in Spanish. He is enrolled in the Honors College and a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. Schmidt has a 3.73 grade point average, which he’s balanced while earning IFC Greek of the Year in 2017. » More …

Two ASU professors receive 2018 NIH New Innovator Award

“No. 1 in innovation” is an accolade Arizona State University proclaims proudly in all realms of university life. Today, ASU proved once again that it is deserving of such a title.

ASU Professors Nicholas Stephanopoulos, assistant professor in the School of Molecular Sciences, and Rizal Hariadi, assistant professor in the Department of Physics, both researchers in the Biodesign Center for Molecular Design and Biomimetics, were announced as recipients of the 2018 NIH New Innovator Award. » More …
