Ph. D., Associate Dean
David serves as Associate Dean and oversees curriculum, course scheduling, and faculty. Prior to joining the Honors College full time in 2016, David was a faculty member in WSU’s School of Politics, Philosophy, and Public Affairs, primarily teaching formal logic. His research is mainly in philosophy of language, early analytic philosophy, and philosophy of sports. His favorite publication “Is Golf Inherently Irrational?” appeared in the volume Philosophy and Golf (2010). David has taught regularly for Honors since he and his family moved to Pullman from Detroit in 1995. He still teaches whenever he can because discussing exciting ideas with bright, engaged students is the best job on earth.
