WSU Honors College Represented by 27 Students at Two March 29 Research Events

PULLMAN, Wash.—Student scholars will take over the second floor of the Compton Union Building (CUB) Monday, March 29 for the Undergraduate Research Symposium, and the Science and Engineering Poster Competition.  Among the numerous posters and presentations will be 27 students representing the Washington State University Honors College.

Seniors Julia Pasztor, an animal sciences major, and Gianne Souza, a microbiology major, will be the only Honors researchers participating in both events. The two will also participate in WSU’s university-wide Academic Showcase Friday, March 26, preceding the undergraduate-only research events next Monday.

The Undergraduate Research Symposium, featuring oral presentations, is sponsored by the Undergraduate Research office, a unit of the University College.  It will be held from noon to 3 p.m. in CUB room 204.

The Science and Engineering Poster Competition is jointly sponsored by the colleges of Sciences; Engineering and Architecture; and Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences, in the CUB ballroom.
