Alumna Linda Burner Augustine: Adding a Best-Selling WSU Cookbook to Her Professional Experience


When Linda Burner Augustine (’83 Home Economics and Honors) was asked by WSU Executive Chef Jamie Callison in spring 2012 to help create a cookbook, she was intrigued.  She was well established in the Seattle area as a chef, caterer, food consultant, entrepreneur, and most recently, a much-followed blogger.Linda has always followed her motto: “Food is life. Good food is good life.” She uses primarily seasonal fresh vegetables and fruits and regional quality meats. Honors College at WSU Recognizes Students, Faculty at 2013 Spring Commencement Banquet

PULLMAN, Wash. — Students, faculty, staff, and guests celebrated the accomplishments of the Honors College at Washington State University class of 2013 on May 3 in the Compton Union Building Senior Ballroom.

More than 60 students walked at the event, with 75 percent having earned Latin Honors at the university for maintaining a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA.  Forty-one percent of the graduates studied abroad during their undergraduate experience. » More …
