PULLMAN, Wash.—Students in the Honors College at Washington State University received about one-third of the Auvil Fellows awards presented to undergraduate researchers in fall 2008.
The Auvil Fellows awards of $1,000 each were announced Oct. 1 by WSU Director of Undergraduate Research David F. Bahr. A record number of awards were made (31) to the largest pool of applicants since the program began in 2007. The fall awards are the fifth set presented to students who participate in mentored “research, scholarship, or creative activity,” as defined by Bahr’s office. » More …
